Following the release of his powerful and dark album trilogy Je suis le Ténébreux, Paradise Lost and M, British avant-garde composer Christopher James Chaplin unveiled his latest project in 2021: Patriarchs — a critically acclaimed musical exploration of the antediluvian patriarchs, from Adam to Noah. After three years in the studio, Chaplin presented his latest album Door 1 Door 2 in 2024, which has become one of his most epochal works to date. Once again, he invited versatile guests into the studio and secured the vocal support of Carmen Alt-Chaplin, Tassos Apostolou and soprano Michela Varvaro. It is another captivating and bold work of art that sits somewhere between experimental electronic music and the avant-garde. In summer 2025, Chaplin will bring Door 1 Door 2 and Patriarchs to the stage in a series of exclusive live performances across Italy, Spain, and Sweden — the latter alongside CM von Hauswolff.
