Itchi

Itchi is the meeting point of Rage and Mo Wunderwald, two multidisciplinary artists whose paths have crossed through music, visual art and performance for years. In 2025, that ongoing exchange became a band of its own, bringing together their shared instinct for songs, sound and atmosphere in something that feels distinctly Itchi.

There is a sense of restraint at the heart of Itchi’s music. Their songs leave space, allowing small shifts and details to take on unexpected weight. Drawing from shoegaze, folk and experimental electronics, Rage and Mo create music that moves between the ethereal and the uneasy, intimacy and something harder to place. It can be dreamy and almost weightless, then suddenly dark, glitchy or haunted. It rarely needs to become loud to feel powerful.

Much of Itchi’s music is written away from cities, in remote places surrounded by forests, rivers and hills. These landscapes have found their way into the songs: in their openness and stillness, but also in a fascination with what lies just beyond sight. Dreams, spirits and invisible presences appear throughout, alongside questions of loss, memory and existence. The darkness is real, but so is a sense of wonder.

Rage grew up in a family of classically trained church musicians and began writing songs as a child, though for years she kept them largely to herself. She found her way into music culture through filmmaking, photography, fashion and styling, while building a multidisciplinary art practice of her own. Moving between painting and sculpture, digital and bio art, her work has been shown in exhibitions from Vienna to Tokyo.

Mo Wunderwald has been making music from an early age, moving from playing in bands into electronic music, club culture, production and songwriting. They went on to form Laikka, writing, producing, singing and performing across three albums and numerous live shows. Mo also tours with queer pop artist Aengl and remains active as a DJ in the underground club scene.

Itchi is where these different histories become something else. Minimal yet intricate, intimate yet expansive, their music has the rare ability to make quiet things feel immense.

Their debut album Sudoku will be released in March 2027, with the first single „Tower Of Magic“ arriving on 4 September 2026.

To us Tower of Magic captures this very moment as if it never had to fleet.
